Laura Rand Haleman, a representational abstract stone sculptor, has had wide acclaim for her dynamic, innovative and precisely carved stone sculptures. Versatility is apparent in her ability to create smooth, lyrical abstracts, hard-edged architectural carvings or voluptuous and often humorous figures.

She sculpted professionally with artist, Minoru Nizuma,at his New York City studio. Haleman earned her degree in social work and psychology, specializing in youth culture, geriatrics, and group dynamics.

This award-winning artist has been elected to Who’s Who in American Art, Who’s Who in American Women, and the guest on cable and television art forums. A noted lecturer and curator, Haleman’s works have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the New York metropolitan area, Florida, and California, and appear in numerous private and corporate collections.

In 1982 she established The Sculpture Workshop teaching the art of stone carving to a select group of budding artists.
