Hand Tufted Rugs
Our process of making a hand tufted rug starts with development of a CAD design. A strike-off sample is usually produced to show design, color and construction. Our production process starts when the CAD design is transferred via a full size stencil to the backing material which is stretched on a frame. The wool and/or silk yarns are each applied one color at a time, and up to six yarns of different colors may be combined to create different color patterns.
