Inspired by requests from architects and lighting designers for “non-fixture fixtures” that won’t clutter spare spaces or compete with restrained interiors, Doyle Crosby and a team of in-house designers have developed fixtures that fit the bill.
The Hoopla Pendant, built of a scant, 7/8” powder coated aluminum channel, comes in two sizes – 16” and 24” diameters – and is lit by dimmable LEDs. The performance of the Hoopla, which emits up to 36 watts of power at 2700 K and 90 CRI, makes it perfect for any office environment. One sinuous stem that starts at the canopy and drops to form a lit “hoop” can be customized up to a 54” HOA. It is available in two power coat finishes that have been selected to compliment any interior – a warm black called “Coffee Bean” and a soft white called “Milk.”
Light weight and stunning in its simplicity the Hoopla is the perfect “un-statement statement” in a room. “We set out to develop a piece that architects will love and we are thrilled with the results,” says Boyd CEO and president Jay Sweet.
